This past week has been a mixture of boredom, excitement and pure energy. Just yesterday, I went on a cleaning rampage all over my house and got so much done. No wonder I fell asleep at 6pm!! I was looking over this past week at how my style is sort of stuck in the same place. Trying to expand my horizon and try new things! But here is a look at last week!

I'm really loving the plum moccasins i got from Old Navy! They are so comfy and warm and can be worn with most anything! I am also obsessed with the new skinnies I got from Old Navy (do you see a pattern?). As much as I love winter and fall fashion, one the new year begins, and the nice weather creeps out from behind the glum, I wish for spring colors and styles. I can almost hear my skirts and tanks whispering to me from the top shelf of my closet, "Let us down Kelsey! We've been good all season". Just wait ladies, your time will come!! Until next time... Oversized Shirts & Warm Leggings

With the weather getting cooler and cooler, I find myself wishing it was warm again! No matter how much I tell myself I love the cold weather (and I do love it), it's still always too cold for me. Which means bundling up is the answer!! Scarves, warm socks and gorgeous coats are on my list and I always look forward to bringing them back into my closet. I don't know about you, but I rotate my wardrobe with the changing seasons. I just recently put away my heels, shorts and tanks, and brought out my boots, jackets and scarves.. I just LOVE this time of year.

 With my outfit today, I wanted to look super cute, but stay warm all at the same time. So I have paired my brand new plush-lined leggings from Kohl's, with a pajama top that I fell in love with at Forever 21, and my favorite black pair of boots. I definitely need to broaden my scarf collection. I don't have nearly enough colors!! This will definitely be a reoccurring outfit this fall. The shirt from Forever is one I've worn with with my Rue 21 black leggings multiple times, so I decided to switch things up with my plum colored leggings I just picked up. What are your thoughts on jeggings? Have been wanting to try a pair, but not sure if they are tacky or not..

Comfort and Leggings

 Sometimes you just want to be comfortable, but still look good. 

Hence the reason I went with leggings, a comfy shirt, boot socks and boots today. Not only is it cold, I'm just wanting to be comfortable.. It's a good thing that plain t-shirts go with anything! I was looking in my closet a while back and didn't have any plain shirts. Only cute tanks and blouses. But nothing I could lounge around in the living room in. So I popped over the, you guessed it, Old Navy and picked myself up some black and greys shirts. Now I'm set. Here are a couple t-shirt styles I hope you enjoy...

Sweater Weather

Sweater/Pants/Shoes

It's days like today, when all I want to do is bundle up with a warm sweater and fun scarf. And it just so happens that everything I am wearing today, apart from the scarf, is from Old Navy! Told you it was my fav... :) As I've said, this is my favorite time of year and for a while, I thought we would skip fall all together. But today finally gives me hopes that cold weather is on the horizon.

If I had it my way, I would wear a sweater every single day, but I feel I would grow tired of them quickly. But every now and then is fine and dandy!! What is your favorite sweater? When I was pregnant with our daughter, I had(and still do) a gorgeous Jessica Simpson maternity sweater. I was devastated when I thought I would have to put it away with the rest of my maternity things. BUT I was so happy when I discovered I could wear it anytime(doesn't have the rugging on the sides like most maternity tops)!! It is brown and gold and has a gorgeous collar. Can't wait to bring that out again this season. Today, I am wearing a sweater, pants and flats from Old Navy, and the scarf is from my grandmother so I have NO idea where it is from(probably Kohl's). Definitely feeling her spirit around me when I wear it :)

Booties and Plum

It's getting easier and easier to pick out what items go well with each other. This morning I was so excited to debut my brand new booties from Old Navy, and since its getting cooler, it was time to pull out one of my all time favorite sweaters from BCBG. Anytime I don't have to wear pants is a great day(that sounds funny! Meaning leggings, duh!). My black leggings I got from Rue 21 are the perfect pair with this sweater. It's just long enough to cover any unsightly areas.

I don't know about you, but Plum is quickly becoming my new favorite color.. Especially for fall!! It goes with so many patterns and styles, and lucky for me, my new booties are... PLUM!! The best of both worlds... What is your favorite fall color? Combination? Its funny.. I think I have plum in every accessory I won EXCEPT a purse!! That's just crazy talk!! You should see my closet. It is packed full to the brim with handbags and purses!! Right now I am really loving my dark teal bag from Francesca's! Such a great fall color and style. What else can you ask for??

Argyle You Kidding Me?

As I sit here, after a cold but happy day at the 2014 Veterans Day Parade, I think about all the lives that were taken, lost and given to keep this country free and safe. Thank you Vets! On a different note, I was shopping at Target the other day, and came across the most gorgeous Plum and Grey argyle sweater and KNEW I needed to take it home with me. I encompasses all that is Fall and I have fallen deeply in love with this pattern. So classic, chic and elegant. Of course t would make its way into my wardrobe.

Sitting here, sipping my Pumpkin Spice coffee(not SB, just creamer), I am becoming more and more intrigued with all the prints and patterns there are out there. Plaid, argyle, stripes, dots... The list goes on and on. But diamonds ARE a girls best friend, hence the reason Argyle is so popular. Made up of so many diamonds and lines, this pattern is sure to be a fall favorite. So many items come with this on them. Socks, scarves, sweaters and so many more. Whats not to love?

For the Love of Plaid

If you know me, then you know that the second the cool weather rolls in, it's out with shorts and tanks, and HELLO boots and scarves. There is nothing better to me then bundling up under a peacoat and boot socks. The smell of the weather changing and the color of the newly fallen leaves is enough to render me speechless. I am one happy mama this time of year!

When I discovered how cute and versatile plaid is, I knew I had to go out and buy a couple different colors. I don't know about you, but when there is something I want, I put it into my phone so I can keep an eye out next time I'm out and about. Well I had plaid, a vest and moccasins on it lately. The other day, my mother and I decided to stop in at Old Navy(my new favorite store), and BAM! They had both plaid AND a beautiful cranberry vest that I am currently drooling over. Now all I need are moccasins and my wardrobe will be complete(until the next accessory I find). 

What are your favorite pieces for fall? Favorite colors? Where do you pull your inspiration from? I've recently found a lot of IG users that I am following and getting inspiration from. Lots of great ideas out there... and I've only just begun!
